Future Lanka Foundation

Future Lanka Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Melbourne, Australia which commenced operations in late 2012. The aim of the foundation is to provide financial aid to underprivileged communities and students in Sri Lanka.

Our initial project, which commenced in late 2012, was to provide financial aid to deserving, underprivileged university students in Sri Lanka in order to assist them with their studies. After liaising with educational institutes in Sri Lanka we were able to find a suitable candidate from the University of Ruhuna, Faculty of Medicine as our first scholarship recipient. Since then we have been in touch with University of Rajarata, University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya, University of Moratuwa, University of Jaffna and South Eastern University in order to find suitable candidates for the scholarship program.

Our Vision

Future Lanka Foundation’s vision is of a world where children in communities receive a good education, respect people’s rights and provide back to the same communities creating a sustainable cycle, which will make better communities for the future.

Our Mission

Future Lanka Foundation aims to achieve improvements in education and living standards in communities through a process that unites people across multiple cultures in Sri Lanka and adds meaning and value to their lives, by:

• Providing an opportunity for the youth (with identified potential in a particular field/expertise) of Sri Lanka, to overcome the hurdles of financial difficulty in order to pursue their career goals in life, which will enrich their lives and in turn, benefit the society they live and serve in.

• Providing aid for the elderly communities in need.
