Current Scholarships

The Karuna Collective Scholarship

Commenced in 2021, this scholarship supports 4 students from the 2019 batch of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. It awards each student Rs 36,000 per year. In 2022 the donation amount was increased to Rs 60,000 per year.

The Prof. Sarath Edirisinghe Scholarship

Commenced in 2021, this scholarship supports a student from the 2019 batch of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. It awards the recipient Rs 36,000 per year. In 2022 the donation amount was increased to Rs 60,000 per year.

The Camillus & Indrani Raymond Scholarship

Commenced in 2021, this scholarship supports a student from the 2019 batch of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya. It awards the recipient Rs 36,000 per year. In 2022 the donation amount was increased to Rs 60,000 per year.

The FLF UOSJ Medical Faculty Scholarship

Commenced in 2022, this scholarship supports a student from the 2021 batch of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sri Jayawardanapura. It awards the recipient Rs 42,000 per year. 

The Ranjani Gunawardena Scholarship

Commenced in 2022, this scholarship supports a student from the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya. It awards the recipient Rs 60,000 per year. 

Past Scholarships

The Isabella Pearce scholarship

Commenced in 2021, this scholarship supports 2 students from the 2016 batch of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. It awards the recipients Rs 60,000 per year. Both students were previously receiving similar scholarships from other charitable organisations which were unfortunately discontinued at the start of the year.  In 2022 the donation amount was increased to Rs 80,000 per year. Both students completed theirs studies successfully in 2023.

Previous FLF scholarships

• Rs 20,000 per semester from 2012 to 2017 for a student from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2013 to 2017 for a student from the Faculty of Medicine and Allied Sciences, University of Rajarata.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2013 to 2018 for a student from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2013 to 2015 for a student from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2014 to 2016 for a student from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2014 to 2019 for a student from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jaffna.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2014 to 2017 for a student from the Faculty of Engineering, South Eastern University.

• Rs 15,000 per semester from 2014 to 2016 for a student from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Peradeniya.
